About EcoJoule Energy
EcoJoule Energy exists to transform the way energy is managed, delivered, and sustained. We develop cutting-edge power management technology and intelligent software designed to improve energy quality, reliability, and resilience across the grid.
Our purpose is clear: to empower utilities, businesses, and communities with smarter tools that ensure stable, efficient, and future-ready energy systems. We are committed to supporting Australia’s transition to a low-carbon future through purposeful technology that solves real-world problems.
We don’t just build solutions. We build trust, resilience, and long-term value for a more sustainable energy ecosystem.
“I truly do believe this is where we need to focus and it’s these sorts of people we need to rely on, that will ultimately bring … this system, this machine back into control and let it serve the people in the way it was intended – to provide reliable, affordable energy obviously on a more sustainable basis.”
Grant King, President – Business Council of Australia & former CEO – Origin Energy speaking about the achievements of Dr Mike Wishart and Ecojoule Energy
Our Opportunity
EcoJoule Energy is poised to play a vital role in the world’s transition to a net-zero future by delivering the technologies essential for maintaining grid stability in an increasingly decentralised energy system.
As the global uptake of rooftop solar, battery storage, electric vehicles, and other distributed energy resources accelerates, electricity networks everywhere are experiencing new pressures—from voltage volatility to reverse power flows and reduced power quality.
EcoJoule’s advanced solutions, including the EcoVAR STATCOM and EcoSTORE pole-mounted BESS, are engineered to directly address these challenges, enabling grids to reliably integrate high levels of renewable energy.
By improving voltage management, enhancing network resilience, and supporting smoother renewable adoption, EcoJoule empowers utilities and communities worldwide to maximise the benefits of clean energy. As nations push toward ambitious climate goals, EcoJoule’s technology will be instrumental in ensuring that distribution grids remain stable, efficient, and capable of supporting a truly sustainable global energy future.
Powering a Cleaner Future with Support from Ellerston Capital and the CEFC
In 2025, Ellerston Capital and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) became shareholders of EcoJoule Energy and are strong supporters of our mission to accelerate Australia’s transition to a low-emissions energy system. Their investment reflects a shared belief in the role that innovative grid-edge technology can play in strengthening network resilience, improving power quality, and enabling greater uptake of renewable energy.
With the backing of these experienced investors, EcoJoule is focused on scaling solutions that help communities, utilities, and businesses manage the challenges of an evolving energy landscape. The ongoing support from Ellerston Capital and the CEFC helps ensure we can continue to engineer practical, high-impact technologies that contribute meaningfully to Australia’s clean-energy goals.
EcoJoule has ackowledges the support received from the Australian Government’s Accelerating Commercialisation Grants program and Advance Queensland.

Investing In Our Industry and Our Community
Supporting STEM School Students
EcoJoule Energy is proud to support the Australian Science & Engineering Fair (AUSSEF). AUSSEF is a national STEM competition that showcases the creativity and dedication of Australian students in Years 9 to 12.
Participating students have undertaken substantial projects in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, and AUSSEF’s three-stage judging process will highlight the very best.
The top nine projects will win an all expenses paid trip to the USA to compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May 2027 (pending funding).
At EcoJoule Energy, we believe in encouraging the next generation of problem solvers who will help shape a smarter and cleaner energy future.

Supporting Our Community
EcoJoule Energy is proud to help our neighbours by supporting Lighthouse Care’s 2025 Good Food Festival.
Lighthouse Care is a non-profit charity that provides free and discounted food to families struggling to make ends meet through our low-cost grocery stores and home delivery.
More than 4,000 people attended the 2025 Good Food Festival with EcoJoule pitching in to sponsor a food stall to help keep the masses fed.
Throughout the day Lighthouse gave away over 20,000 items, served more than 4,000 free meals, and handed out 600 free $25 trolleys to families in need.

Supporting Future Leaders
At EcoJoule, we’re proud to support any initiatives that encourage the next generation of engineers to step into this exciting and essential field.
EcoJoule Energy CEO Mike Wishart, regularly attends QUT Open Days as an electrical engineering industry specialist .
QUT Open Days provide future students with the opportunity to participate in engineering-specific seminars, take tours of labs and the School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics facilities, and learn more about the field from practicing engineers.
With the global shift to renewable energy accelerating, careers in electrical engineering are becoming more critical than ever.
